Guy Diemunsch presents a technical paper
Guy Diemunsch presented a technical paper titled "Keeping Your Key Chips Alive" at the International Automotive Power Electronics International Conference and Exhibition held on April 6 and 7, 2011 at La Ferme du Manet, Montigny Le Bretonneux, France. The technical paper discusses cooling technologies that are currently available and how they can be used to spread the heat, conduct it to or exchange it with ambient air which is the cold source available for an automobile. The paper reviews the key cooling parameters, adapts them to the automotive constraints and shows how to solve some critical problems. The key is to look at the heat density and reduce it all along the heat path to reach a level that can be managed with forced air convection. While the needed technologies are available, opportunities exist to improve cooling elements and reduce constraints to develop lower cost and more reliable solutions. Guy also chaired the session on "Passive Components" and led the Panel discussion on this topic. » Download Presentation » Download Paper |
